Studies on Thermal Behaviour of Samarium Soaps
Keywords:
Samarium laurate, Energy of Activation, TGAAbstract
Thermogravimetric analysis of Samarium laurate has been carried out in order to investigate the structure and kinetics of thermal decomposition of Samarium soap in the solid state. The results of thermal analysis show that samarium laurate decomposes in two stages. The values of the energy of activation for the first and second stage of the decomposition were in the range of 15 to 32 K Cal mol-1 and 1 to 9 K Cal mol-1 respectively.
